The Festival of Love was organised by the Communities of the Kouris Dam Valley at the country side of Limassol, in an effort to assist to the contribution of "Radio Marathon", a fund raising project for the children with special needs.

The entertainment included games for children and adults, parachuting, rowing races, motocross races and an antique car's parade. A day-long fiesta with food and drink and drink stands offering Cyprus delicacies such us souvlaki (kebab), ouzo, palouze (must-jelly), resi, pourekia (patties), trachana (frumenty) as well as sandwiches, coffee and much more....

The Limassol Aeroclub was part of the contributors to the event.

The Club has set up a small kiosk with a display of a few model airplanes and helicopters as well as small power cars.

Apart from the usual lottery with a model airplane as the bonus, the Club organised model airplane and helicopter flying exhibition as well as simple flying lessons to the attendees.

The kiosk was set up near a temporarily built airstrip for the purpose. There are future plans on the way for a proper airstrip for model airplanes and model helicopters as well as a model car truck in the area. The project is still under development.
